The Jamison After-School Enrichment Program was begun in 1995 at the request of the Principal of Banneker
Elementary School, who saw a need for her students to have enrichment experiences beyond the regular school day. Since
that time, the program has served approximately 100 children each year, successfully encouraging and enhancing excellence
in academic performance in elementary and middle school students. With 21st Century funding, the program was able to
expand to two sites with several collaborating partners.
